Who handles your information
Upon The Clouds is the trading name of Retha Lubbe, a sole trader in Westcliff-on-Sea. Contact us at info@upontheclouds.co.uk.
When you buy something
Checkout is run by Shopify. Your name, address, email and order details go to them so the order can be taken and posted to you.
Your card details never reach us. Shopify handles the payment and we never see the card number.
We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and for dealing with returns.
When you join the email list
We keep your name and email address so we can tell you when new sets are ready. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and leaving removes you from the list.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device.
This site uses two kinds.
Essential
These remember your cookie choice and keep your basket working. The site can't function without them, so they're always on.
Shopify shop and analytics
The shop on this site is provided by Shopify. When it loads, Shopify sets
cookies named _shopify_y, _shopify_s, _y
and _s, which it uses to run the basket and to count visits.
We don't load the shop until you accept. If you decline, Shopify isn't loaded, none of those cookies are set, and the shop section shows a link to our Shopify store instead so you can still buy.
You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It
sets cookies beginning _ga, and your IP address is anonymised
before it reaches Google.
Like the shop, it doesn't load until you accept. Decline and it is never fetched, so none of its cookies are set.
What we don't do
We don't run advertising trackers, we don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't use it for anything except getting your order to you, seeing roughly how many people visit, and, if you asked for it, sending you the occasional email.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@upontheclouds.co.uk and we'll sort it out.
If you think we've handled your information badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
